Run for Freedom
A Historic Challenge for People with Disabilities
Run for Freedom was a groundbreaking ultra-running challenge undertaken by Jo Lodder, marking the first-ever completion of the HK5Trails in a single continuous effort. This monumental journey covered nearly 400km with 20,000m + elevation across Hong Kong’s five major long-distance trails—the MacLehose, Wilson, Hong Kong, Lantau, and Tinworth Trails. More than just a test of endurance, Run for Freedom was a powerful fundraising initiative, aiming to support individuals with disabilities and empower them through mobility, education, and inclusion.
